Our Mission

Kinnon Keepsakes believes it is important to give back to the community in the form of charity. Since our customer base is over 99% women, we feel that breast cancer is a perfect fit for us to help! It is our mission to support breast cancer prevention, education, treatment and support for survivors! We have donated over $30,000 to the cause in the past six years.

The Beneficiary

The beneficiary of this event is Breast Health Services of Lehigh Valley Hospital. This organization provides a variety of services with an entire team of breast health specialists including: on-site radiologists, radiation, medical and surgical oncologists, social workers, financial coordinators, clinical trials specialists, genetic counselors, risk assessment specialists, dieticians specializing in cancer care and prevention, and sex therapists. The funds of our event will be used specifically for developing and funding the Post-operative Breast Cancer class within the Breast Cancer Survivor Program. This program is being developed to meet the survivorship needs of breast cancer patients. The class is being designed by survivors to address the many is issues facing women once treatment is complete. Continued surveillance, life style changes, financial counseling, risk assessment and on-going support will be provided.

Event Details

Cost of the event is $55, where at least $25 will go directly to the cause. Our event consists of a 12 hour crop as well as several other activities in order to raise money. This year Kinnon Keepsakes Crop for a Cure will be held at the new Kasych Family Pavillion at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest.

• $25 direct donation to the cause (likely more)
• 4 foot of cropping space for 12 hours
• Food voucher to use at cafeteria for the day
• Raffles every hour

We do not accept any over the phone or email registrations. We also do not accept any credit card payments. Get your registration in early, we expect to fill up quickly!

CHANGE IN PROCEDURE

You must provide us with an email address for your registration. We will email confirmation to you when we receive the form. This is also how we will communicate details of the event including directions, and other information. We will not be mailing any tickets to the event this year. This will save us money for postage and eliminate the worry of whether or not we received your registration form.

Registration Rules

Balance of $25 is due by 11/1/09. Registrations are taken on a first come, first serve basis. Cancellations will not receive the $30 deposit as a refund, but it will be donated to the cause. Cancellations prior to 11/1 will receive any amount paid over the $30 deposit as a refund. No refunds after 11/1. Crop is full at 100 registrants and is open to anyone over 12 years of age.

Besides attending, there are plenty of things you can help with for our event. We are open to other suggestions. Here are list of thing that people have done in the past.
